finally finished this latest painting, am using 'manhattan skyline' as a working title till i get a few more pieces completed. am hoping these big canvas' will work as big backdrop pieces with smaller more narrative based paintings running between them.

the size is 3ft x 4ft acrylic on canvas,

thanks for everyones support

Strangely, I find this has great charm. It certainly has a kind of reserve that is understated and elegant. So this portrayal of the downtown end of the city is presented in a very fitting - and flattering - manner....I think that's why it works so well!
It is very congruent with the outward appearance of city people - at the financial end of things!

Great spatial compression in a tricky composition... complete with multiple geometric patterns and a soft background of masterful tonal perspective that anchors the work in place.

Nicely done.
